Obama Takes Aim at Military Benefits To Finance Illegal Aliens

The regime is once again setting its sights on the American military, in spite of Obama’s repeated claims of how much he admires and respects those in military service. To show his appreciation, the Obama regime is saying “thank you for your service” by cutting housing allowances and benefits, increasing health care premiums and limiting pay raises.
On Monday, Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel will recommend billions of dollars in yearly budget cuts which are part of what is represented as budget cutting efforts within the Pentagon. Rather than controlling procurement and payment and other gaps in the control of the financial sieve which makes accountability for the taxpayer dollars an impossibility, they’ll go after the easy target of the American service personnel.
The justification from the Pentagon takes the form of labor being too big of a piece of the pie to be ignored. DoD spokesperson, Admiral John Kirby said, “Personnel costs reflect some 50 percent of the Pentagon budget and cannot be exempted in the context of the significant cuts the department is facing.  Secretary Hagel has been clear that, while we do not want to, we ultimately must slow the growth of military pay and compensation.”
Hagel is expected to recommend limiting pay raises across the board to one percent while freezing pay at current levels for generals and admirals for one year.
Additionally, Hagel is recommending commissary subsidies be severely reduced.
Rather than going after America’s military men and women, perhaps the White House should rethink their open wallet open border policies. When you are cutting food subsidies for your military with one government hand and doling them to illegal aliens with the other, it might be time to rethink the the misguided direction of your administration.
If this is how Obama says thank you, maybe the military needs to come up with a way to properly say “you’re welcome.”
