Regarding the role of the "J Street" in achieving the administration's effort, sees Abu Rashid said that the organization offers to U.S. President Barack Obama deeper strategic and political cover because Obama looking for depth of Jews in the United States to achieve his quest.
And Abu Rashid adds that 70% of U.S. Jews believe in the two-state
solution, J Street and express the opinion of the majority of American
society and not influential opinion makers.
It is also considered that "J Street" can not be an alternative to the " AIPAC "(Committee of the American Israel Public Affairs).
For his part, believed Erekat said the Palestinian position of weakness
and become more flexible because of the weakness of the Arab position,
but this depends on the U.S. administration "J Street", which provides a
two-state solution to achieve a breakthrough with the Palestinian file.
He believes that the Obama administration is seeking to get closer to
the "J Street" to provide them with cover to accomplish the
Israeli-Palestinian progress of the file.
Erekat believes that "J Street" has become a real feel worth its weight
in the United States, which consider them as a weapon to confront
"AIPAC" especially with attached file the negotiations.
On the other hand is a league that "J Street" does not represent an
alternative or complement to the "AIPAC," but an additional tool,
however, the U.S. administration to pass the Israeli-Palestinian policy
